Cold bond rubber lagging operation in very cold and low temperature weather

When the temperature is lower than 0℃, the cross-linking reaction of cold bond cement and rubber will decrease by ≥60%, and the bonding strength will be seriously affected.

DCCD® operated cold bond rubber lagging in Shandong, China, the outdoor temperature was -16°C and the humidity was 40.

We must create a working environment with suitable temperature.

We built a work shed of 12 square meters, and placed 3 pcs heating equipment to raise the temperature in the work shed to 12 ℃, in line with the temperature requirements of the construction.

After adding the curing agent to the cold bond cement , we extended the stirring time from 40 seconds to 120 seconds.

After full stirring, the cross linking reaction of the cement is more active to ensure the best bonding strength.

Finally, we put the finished pulley in a warehouse with an indoor temperature of 16°C and store it for 48 hours to allow the cross-linking reaction between the cement and the rubber to occur fully.
